A man once wanted lemons. He came across a garden with a lemon tree in the center and seven gates to reach there with a guard on each gate. He thought of making a deal with the guard and asked the first one if he can let the man pass and pluck some lemons from the lemon tree, the guard said he can but the man will have to share half of the lemons he gets, the man agreed to the deal with one clause that the guard will return him one lemon from his share. The deal was made and the man was allowed to pass the first gate. The same thing happened with the second guard and then the third and so with all the seven guards. Finally, the man reached to the lemon tree pluck some lemons, and started coming out. As per the deal, on every gate, he gave half of the lemons he had and took one back from the guards. After crossing all the gates and keeping the deal with every guard he went home with the same number of lemons that he plucked from the tree. How many lemons did he get?

Answer of This Riddle:

Two lemons.
Half of two is one so on the first gate he gave one lemon to the guard and as per the second part of the deal, the guard has to give him one lemon back so the man was left with two lemons again. This happened on each gate and in the end, the man had two lemons with him to take home. Exactly the number he initially got.
